About this event
START: Sam Taylor State Park. There is a fee to park in Sam Taylor. However, it is possible to park farther up the valley and ride to STSP. I don’t advise this, but if money is tight, then it’s an option. Allow for a half-hour if you park outside the Sam Taylor park boundary.
Meet at 10am, ride at 10:15am.
DISTANCE: Depending upon route. In summary, let’s plan on riding most of the day.
PACE/EFFORT & DIFFICULTY: Keeping it FUN. Not technical. Rocky in places. Let’s see what the consensus is and pace accordingly, keeping fun at the forefront.
RIDE DESCRIPTION: We’ll ride through a number of ecosystems. Mostly be riding fire-roads. Maybe some single-track surprises. There will be plenty of incredible views of West Marin. If you like to climb, this ride is for you.
THE ROUTE: Sam Taylor – Barnaby – Pine Mountain – [ East Peak, depending upon consensus ] – Olema Valley. Return.
