About this event
- TIME: Meet 9:15AM/Roll 9:30AM
- LOCATION: Split Rock Tap & Wheel 2020 Sir Francis Drake Blvd, Fairfax CA
- PARKING: The parking at Split Rock will be very limited at that time; leave extra time to find parking on the nearby streets; please do not park at Fairax Market lot. Ride to the start if you can or carpool.
- ARRIVAL: Please be READY by the MEET time to listen to the Ride Leader's introduction, safety brief and any special instructions
- SIGN UP: Our rides are open to all. Non members/visitors are welcome to the 1st ride by registering in advance and signing a liability release online; for the 2nd ride and thereafter it is our club policy to have non-members sign up as a Marin Cyclists club member.
- PACE: Social Pace 12-13.5 mph/Moderate Pace 14-16 mph average speed for the entire ride including all climbs Legend & Pace Rating
- ROUTE: Route Map Samuel P. Taylor, Olema, Stinson Beach Village Green Park, Hwy 1, Almonte, Miller, Camino Alto, Magnolia Ave, San Anselmo, Center Blvd. **This is a strenuous ride with significant amounts of climbing, +70 vertical feet per mile, Hilly rating
- SUGGESTED REGROUPS: Regroups to be determined by the Ride Leader; Samuel P. Taylor Park restrooms by the park entrance, Olema, Stinson Beach Village Green and top of the climb out of Muir Beach at Mile 37
NOT A NO DROP RIDE. Not a beginner's ride.
Faster and Slower pace riders welcome but should be prepared to provide their own navigation. If you ride way faster or slower than the main group you will be separated and will likely be riding on your own. Try to find a small pod who knows the way and stick together. Please review the route well in advance of the ride. Download it to your bike computer or print out a cue sheet.
Registration Info
Registration is required
-All riders must register to ride, members and non-members
-20% or more chance of rain at noon cancels the ride
-Must wear a helmet
-Please make sure your bike is in good maintenance
-Bring spare tube(s), mini pump/C02, or tubeless repair kit as necessary
-Day time running lights are highly recommended
-Please obey all traffic rules
-Share the road, ride as far to the right as practicable
-Please download the route to your bike computer or print out a route sheet
-Respect the ride leader
