Train with us for the Marin Century! This ride is the ninth of 13 consecutive Sunday rides, gradually progressing, to prepare you for the 100-mile Marin Century on August 1.

This week you get to ride a 60 mile loop through West Marin.  It's a big, hard and beautiful ride. Wheels roll from Stafford Lake Park Picnic Area 5 at 8:30 am. Ride out to Pt Reyes Station then head north along scenic Tomales Bay all the way to Tomales. Cut across to Spring Hill Road then back over Wilson Hill to the finish line. Many of these roads are in the Metric Century course, some of them in reverse.

The biggest, baddest climb is Wilson Hill at mile 52, towards the end of the ride when you are tired. Climbing at the end of the ride builds your endurance and fatigue resistance. There is also a tough  climb up Cheese Factory Hill (mile 6) and two uphills on Spring Hill (mile 42 and 45). 

Regroups 
- mile 14 -Pt Reyes Station (water and restroom)
- mile  31 - Tomales Park (water, restrooms, and coffee/snacks)
- mile 39 - optional water stop if it's hot
- mile  47 - Helen Putnam Park (water and restroom)

Road bikes with slick tires are strongly recommended. E-bikes welcome. Make sure you have two, full, large water bottles. We will divide in to two groups, one faster and one slower, each with their own leader.

You can come along whether you are riding the Century or not. If you missed the first rides in this series, but feel able to ride 60 tough miles, come along!
